We are so thankful for the assistance of the Philanthropic Investment in Arkansas Kids (PIAK) scholarship for our children, who qualified back in the 2024-2025 academic year. Although the state provides the Educational Freedom Account (EFA) to allow families to have choices in their children’s education, meeting all of our boys’ educational needs would not have been possible for our family without the PIAK scholarship.
We were able to pay most of our tuition with our PIAK scholarship and use the funding provided by the EFA, created by the LEARNS Act, for the remaining tuition, as well as also being able to afford uniforms and extra educational tools and programs for our IDEA-qualified boys, who have learning needs that require additional resources and extra services. We’re grateful that our state allows IDEA-qualified students to receive both of these programs.
We could not have provided our special boys all the support they need without the PIAK, and we are grateful for the efforts of The Reform Alliance to help us find and access this essential scholarship.
